perils with writing and whatnot
This is my second post for today. Unheard of, right? Will wonders ever seize? Now, how many clichés have I used so far? I like clichés. Although I don’t think they should be in anything other that casual conversation or writing.
I’ve gotten way off the subject for this post. Sorry.
This is in response to the Insecure Writer’s Support Group monthly rant. Many of the group members are participating in the A – Z Blog Challenge for this month. I’ve decided not to get into it, but I’m cheering on the ones who are getting involved. 😀
I’m an introvert despite all the “chitchat” I do through friends’ blogs. I’m really quite a solitary person. I love the quiet, the more the better. Now that the weather is starting to get a little warmer, I’m itching to go out on the carport at twilight and enjoy the calmness of nature. It sure is a lot better than the noise that’s into my house right now.
I do my best writing when the house is still, when the cats are sleeping in their various favorite spots, the TV is off, and Hubby’s at work. This scenario isn’t possible right now. Hubby is recovering from surgery. Until it’s safe health-wise for him to go back to work, I have constant noise. I love Hubby dearly. He’s not only my husband, but my best friend too. Nevertheless, our personality traits are complete opposites on most accounts. Except for an occasional baseball or basketball game, I have zero interest in sports. He wants to watch every single sport. He loves large family gatherings. I’d rather have one of the relatives over for coffee and banana nut bread. You’ve probably guessed; he wants noise in the house 24/7, which, of course, I don’t want. He wants the TV on even when he’s sleeping. He wants to talk during shows and movies. Although he’s sweet to run the dishwasher when it’s full, he’s oblivious to the fact that it wakes me up. (I have insomnia sometimes so there are times when I sleep when I know I’ll hit La-La Land.)
But… I will persevere. Hubby should be back at work by the middle of this month. Cross your fingers and toes.
